Episode Summary
TRIGGER WARNING: This episode talks openly about mental health struggles and mentions suicide, reparative therapy and other words that may cause emotional harm to some. Please don’t listen if these conversations might hurt rather than help you. If you are in that place, we encourage you to reach out and get help from a safe place. You are worth it.
In this episode, we tackle mental health and how the church responds to people in the midst of “hell on earth,” as Dallas describes in sharing his experience. It’s estimated that as many as 1 in 3 people wrestle with some form of mental health struggle. That means when you sit down in church on Sunday morning, if it’s not you, it’s one of the people next to you. The church MUST be a safe haven for people who need help. It can be, and it should be, but there are many within her walls that just don’t understand. We hope you’ll listen in and join us after to keep talking.
